Each year, the Madden football video game franchise is a top seller and this year, developer Electronic Arts will add voice control to the game through Microsoft's Kinect.
The latest innovation will give the causal player the chance to shout read the opponents defense and shout out audibles, like a living room-Peyton Manning.
Voice control is finding its way into other EA Sports titles as well.
Soccer-simulator FIFA 13 will let the player call out formation changes, substitutions and even yell at referees to influence their calls, though they can — and will — card the player if it crosses the line.
“Players are not going to have this perfect ball control they've had for so many years,” Santiago Jaramillo with EA Sports said. “It's really going to create a variety of scenarios and outcomes that are going to make the game a lot more fun.”
