A Charlie Brown Christmas
Even the most diehard Charlie Brown purists who might be skeptical of this 21st century version of the Christmas classic will have a tough time arguing it won't evoke some of the same nostalgia as the 1960s TV version. "A Charlie Brown Christmas" app is even narrated by Peter Robbins, the original voice of Charlie Brown.
In the app, each page has some part of the scene or characters that can be poked and prodded for a response. At one point, users can even get to warm Schroeder up on a virtual piano before he takes it away with that classic Peanuts melody.
There is also a special interactive surprise at the end of the story.
"A Charlie Brown Christmas" is out now for all iOS devices for $6.99.
Google Maps Update
For holiday shoppers, Google Maps also has a bit of a surprise, as it will now work inside certain malls and airports.
If a user is in one of the enabled indoor spots, he or she can keep zooming in until all of a sudden, the map is inside the building.
The maps show all the stores, all the bathrooms, the full layout. All the user has to do is click on which floor to see to pull up the proper layout.
The update for Google Maps that makes this work is free, but at the moment it is only for Android devices.
