Let's Create! ChristmasIt's a holiday-themed follow-up to easily one of the most addictive apps ever created for iOS devices. The same folks behind “Let's Create! Pottery” are now out with a free “Let's Create! Christmas” that lets you make your own ornaments.
But this isn't some cheesy kids-only game that looks like virtual finger painting when you're done. Just like the pottery app, you get all sorts of simple-to-use tools that trick even absolutely horrendous artists into believing they might actually be capable of pursuing a career as a master ornament craftsman. You get paints, patterns, shapes and even textures.
When you're done, you can twirl your hanging piece of work to view it from all angles and even email it out to show friends what you're up to.
“Let's Create! Christmas” is a free app for iOS devices. And while there are plenty of tools in there to keep you busy for hours, you can also buy extra patterns, tools, and paints for 99-cents each.
OnLive
Video rental service “OnLive” is now officially on mobile devices, promising to turn that mobile device into something like your Playstation or Xbox videogame console.
You download all sorts of games that generally cost anywhere from $6 to $50, and for the most part, these are the exact same games you'd get if you bought a disc for your actual console.
Some of the games have these built-in virtual controls, but to really take advantage of the system, you can get a wireless controller that connects to your device.
The “OnLive” app itself is free and just for Android devices—again, it's the games that cost money. The wireless controller is $50.
