On Facebook, you can “like” your friend's photos and status updates. Now, picture the opposite.

The Hater app is for posting things you hate and others can add a thumbs down with you. You can express relatively meaningless hates, like for certain celebrities or fashion. Or, developers say, you can express the kind of hate that'll help rally people to a cause.

“You can hate something so much that you're going to change it,” said Jake Banks of Hater app. “I hate cancer, I hate that fact that there's starving children, I hate the fact that there's no gun regulation, I hate this, I hate that. There are political hates, fashion hates..."

Right now, Hater is just a free iOS app. An android version is due out within the next few months.
