The 2012 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 sedan is designed to offer the luxury features of much more expensive cars, for less.

Make/ Model - 2012 Hyundai Genesis

Engine - 3.8L GDi V6 aluminum engine with 333hp.

The Genesis can come with either a 333-hp, 3.8-liter V6; a 385-hp, 4.6-liter V8; or a 429-hp, 5.0-liter V8. All available engine options send power to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission that features manual sequential shift capability. Mechanical safety features include traction control, stability control and panic brake assist. The interior features a full complement of airbags, electronic active front headrests that provide whiplash protection, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Luxurious leather seats, automatic dual-zone climate control and wood grain trim are just a few of the features found in the Genesis that are typical of much more expensive vehicles.

My test vehicle had 18-inch hyper alloy wheels with Michelin tires; an amazing technology package including Lexicon 17-speaker, 7.1 Discrete Audio system; Ultimate Navigation with 8-inch display; smart cruise control; Lane Departure Warning system; HID Xenon adaptive cornering lights; premium leather, air conditioned and heated seats; power rear sunshade and rear-view camera.

Competes with:
• Audi A6
• Lexus ES
• BMW 5 series
• Mercedes E-Class
• Lincoln MKS
• Cadillac STS

Likes:
• Excellent driving dynamics
• Soft leather seats
• Beautiful design
• Comfortable ride
• Fantastic Lexicon sound system

Dislikes:
• All-wheel-drive option
• Rear seat does not fold down

The new 2012 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 sedan is beautifully designed with quality materials, generous luxury features, and impressive engine power. The Genesis is definitely a luxury sedan that can more than match its rivals.

Remember, when shopping for a new car, test drive as many vehicles as you can in the class you are looking in to make sure you find the car that is best for you.
