What’s worse than leaving your house to find your car has been broken into? Feelings of anger and violation are very normal, but they don’t help get things back to normal.

The first thing you should do is call the police, file a report and document the crime with photographs.

What’s next? Take a vacuum to the car’s interior and suck up as much of the broken glass as possible.
