Getting your car inspected each year is a necessary task to keep your car legal on the road, but it can strike fear into the heart of those of us driving older vehicles.

However, there are a few easy things you can check before getting your car inspected. The easiest things to check for are headlights, tail lights, the horn and your turn signals.

Other things to check for are your windshield wipers and tire treads.
