British cars invade Round Rock

The 2012 annual "All British Car Day" drew more than 200 entries, the best turn-out on record, at Round Rock's Dell Diamond Sunday.

Attendees got a chance to see models ranging from luxurious to mini to roadster, with an array of original Brit to extra bright paint jobs. As always, Triumph owners were well represented and De Loreans were presented "door up" for all to get a glimpse inside. For those who might never see one in person, several Bentley models brought plenty of "oohs and ahhs."

Even the weather got cheers. As luck would have it, the early weekend rain had well ended leaving conditions primarily cloudy and cool, just like one might expect on a typical day in London.

Acting as one of three celebrity judges, YNN Chief Meteorologist Burton Fitzsimmons helped pick the "Best Right Driver" (steering wheel on the right side of car instead of American left) and "Best Daily Driver" awards.

The "Best Right Driver" award went to Graham Conford, owner of a 1974 MG B-GT V8.

Christopher Atterton's rebuilt 1993 Jaguar XJS scored highest points for "Best Daily Driver" and can be frequently seen, we're told, in one of parking lots at Austin Community College's parking lots.
