Radiator hoses are like any other rubber part under the hood — over time, they wear out.

In order to avoid catastrophes on the road, it’s important to regularly check and, if needed, change out any hoses which are aging.

A good way to keep everything up-to-date is to change out the hoses whenever you change out your belts. And just a reminder, belts need to be changed whenever they begin to crack.
