Young computer coders from across Texas plugged in Saturday to compete for the top prize and, above all, bragging rights.
The student technophiles solved tough programming problems as part of HP Code Wars—a coding competition for high school students across the Lone Star State.
The students racked their brains to solve 22 complex computer coding problems to score points.
Win or lose, many teens say this is an unforgettable experience.
"It's really cool,” Kason Tey, a senior from Liberal Arts and Science Academy, said. “I want to be a computer scientist when I grow up, to be able to see how excited these people are. It's really awesome.”
Winners of the competition receive trophies, while all participants are entered to win computers, software, and internships at HP.
