What do you do with your bicycle tires and tubes when they need to be replaced? Well, you could dump them in the trash – or you could take them to Jack and Adam’s Bicycles where you can recycle them for free.
Jack Murray, owner of Jack and Adam’s Bicycles, said the shop started a recycling program about four years ago. They collect every piece of waste related to bicycles, including tires, tubes, parts and shoes.
Murray said about 95 percent of what the shop collects is tubes and tires, which are recycled into fuel.
