Many parents didn’t have computers growing up, but now it seems hard to imagine a childhood without technology.
These days, even toddlers have their own technological gadgets, but no matter where you fall in the digital divide, there are resources for everyone, young and old alike.
The Microsoft Store at the Domain is helping people learn how to use this new technology for free.
"It's going to be such a big part of their lives. It's already such a big part of our lives, and for their generation. It's good to start them young and get them comfortable with technology as soon as possible," Microsoft Community Development Specialist Brynn Biddle said.
Kids as young as two come to get their hands on the new age of technology. Many of them catch on even quicker than their parents.
Ruby Autry's daughter is starting kindergarten next year. She brought her little one to the TechTots class so she can be exposed to new technology. Touch-screen tablets and computer screens have made using the devices easier than ever.
"It makes me feel like I'm living in the dark ages at home. With the technology that's available now, and it's almost second nature for them to pick up from their every day exposure that they're even not aware of," Autry said. "So many things this day and age are touch screen, and it's easier than a mouse used to be, so it's easier to get them started at two."
