If you’re a vegetable gardener, you probably already know that it’s onion planting time. But what onions work best for Central Texas?

Chris Winslow with It’s About Thyme nursery says short-day onions are the best type of onion to grow in Central Texas. Within that category, there are several different varieties you could go for, depending on the flavor and other characteristics you want in your onions.
