Studies show many drinkers dramatically underestimate their blood alcohol content, giving them a false sense of sobriety.
The app Drink Tracker Breathalyzer gives users a quick and easy way to record their drinks and keep up with their blood alcohol content.
To start, set up a profile and enter your gender, age, height and weight. Next, set a target blood alcohol (The legal limit for drivers in the U.S. is. 08 percent, but aim lower). Then, start your session.
Add and save your drinks and cup size with a fully-editable one-tap drink list.
The app shows how many drinks you’ve consumed in a period of time. It automatically compares your alcohol intake and your metabolic removal rate and updates your blood alcohol content every 60 seconds.
A countdown timer even shows how long before your target blood alcohol content is reached, so you know when you’ve had enough.
It helps you track your holiday drinks so you know when to cut the tab or call for a cab.
The app can be downloaded from the iTunes store for $1.99. If you’re looking for free apps with blood alcohol content gauging features check out DrunkTender and Last Call.
