While some are still in search of a state championship on the field, one group of Cedar Park students has already claimed their own.

After countless hours of work, the Timberwolf band now takes the field as champions.

“Seeing where we started as compared to where we finished is just incredible," Cedar Park Band member Leah Havens said. “Finally hearing our name after such a long time of waiting and such hard work was just the best thing in the world.”

They finished on the field at the Alamodome, and now that the work is done, the band get's to focus on enjoying the playoffs.

“We just kind of get to hang back and relax and have some fun after all the hard work," Havens said.

Now the band is helping cheer on the football team through the playoffs.

“We like to get really crazy and very spirited. We just love to come out and support them and try to distract the other team," Havens said.

Band members hope the football team can win and bring home another championship to Cedar Park.
