Friday, the NBA announced that training camps and the pre-season will be pushed back due to the lockout. The players and owners disagree, and we will not see the roundball hit the hardwood until they figure it out. In the meantime, NBA free agent point guard and former Texas longhorn TJ Ford is still working.
Saturday, he took to East Austin, to help the kids. Ford and 200 volunteers from Kaboom and the community, came together at Southwest Key's East Austin College Prep Academy to build a play area. In just six hours, a dirt patch became a playground....And that is something Ford is happy to be a part of in his spare time.
