A former West paramedic who was arrested shortly after the fertilizer plant blast in April is now out of federal custody.
Bryce Reed, 31, was released from jail on a $25,000 bond. The former EMT faces federal charges for possessing pipe bomb materials. He recently underwent a court-ordered mental health evaluation.
His trial is set to begin Sept. 23 in Waco.
Reed was one of the first responders who rushed to the aid of injured firefighters and residents following the explosion. He was released from the department, however, just two days after the blast
Reed has already been cleared of any wrongdoing in the plant explosion that killed 15 people.
