Downtown Austin has sprouted in recent years with a number of multi-story building projects. Each changes the city’s skyline.
Now, it seems, another skyline-changing project is moving forward. An engineering firm has been hired to work on the Waller Center, a massive $500 million development planned in the Rainey Street neighborhood.
The massive development will include three distinct buildings on three acres, the tallest of which could become the tallest building in the city.
There are still many more steps in the process, but it's one step closer to becoming a reality.
