They've been preparing their pipes for almost six weeks, and on Friday, the Barton Hills Choir looked like pros in Zilker Park.
It’s the third year in a row the pint-sized choir from Barton Hills Elementary has played the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
“It’s kinda scary,” sixth-grader Cessly Mota said.
It may be a little terrifying at times, but the group of fifth and sixth graders held their notes on stage Friday afternoon.
"It’s a little nerve racking, when you're just about to go up for your solo, your heart's beating," sixth-grader Emmy Francel said.
The choir always performs songs from acts playing the fest later in the weekend.
"I like the challenge of coming up with a set that's going to be A, right for the kids, and B, right for ACL," Choir Director Gavin Tabone said.
The Barton Hills Choir will play again next Friday at noon for the second weekend of the fest.
