When foster children move from home to home, often something as simple as a stuffed animal can help them feel at ease.
Eight-year-old Gabriella has plenty of stuffed animals she cuddles with at night.
YNN met up with her at Build-a-Bear, so she could make a new animal to add to her collection, and talk about the family she hopes to find and cuddle with someday soon.
Bright blue and yellow was Gabirella’s preference for a snuggly stuffed friend.
“I got a big bear that’s white, I got a baby bear that’s white too,” she said.
There’s always room for more fluffy family members, and Gabriella hopes there’s enough room for her in a forever family too.
“I like to have a family,” she said. “It’s fun. I get to play in the garage, and outside in the back yard.”
Gabriella needs parents that will give her just as much love as she’s ready to give.
“I like going to the movies,” she said. “I like to watch all the movies but not the scary ones, and the nice ones but not the kissing movies.”
Kissing in movies aren’t ideal, but Gabriella looks forward to getting plenty of snuggles, cuddles, hugs and kisses from a forever family of her own.
Gabriella is in the first grade and says when she grows up, she would like to be a first grade teacher and a mommy.
