Synchronized hellos and helpful answers is what the 550 volunteers have to offer at the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
The helpful bunch knows where to find everything from eateries to ear plugs.
By day three, when the impact of after parties, wind, mud and rain start to take effect, the volunteers are also motivators to keep the party going.
Darrell Nicholas and Louis Shuey met at ACL years ago, became festival buddies and now they lead other volunteers.
"It's actually a lot of fun, we're actually like family," Darrell said.
Seventy percent of the volunteers are returning, and they get a pretty sweet deal. For their four hours of work, they get a day pass.
