The second weekend of the 2013 Austin City Limits Music Festival started out under a mostly cloudy sky with a temperature in the middle 70s.
There was no rain Friday morning, but there is a 20 percent chance of rain this afternoon with highs rising to the middle 80s.
It is going to be a warm and humid afternoon thanks to a surface wind flow from the south and southeast. Plenty of Gulf moisture will continue to keep the humidity high during the weekend.
Bring the rain gear if you’re headed to hear the music this weekend. A couple of upper-level weather systems will be moving over the area that will not only lead to rain but also increase the threat of thunderstorms. Some of the thunderstorms could produce brief periods of heavy downpours. There will be a lightning threat each afternoon.
If you’re out at the park and you either hear thunder or see lightning, get to a place of safety immediately.
Afternoon temperatures will be in the 80s Saturday and Sunday. Evening temperatures will drop to mostly the upper to middle 70s.
Be safe out there as you enjoy another weekend of music in the Live Music Capital of the World.
