When you think art history, you don't always think beer, but this weekend the Blanton is mixing beer with a new exhibit.
“Imperial Augsburg: Renaissance Prints and Drawings” features German works from the late 1400s and early 1500s.
Artists during that time used a metal printing technology to print etchings onto paper.
The Blanton will have several local breweries host a tasting of beers from the era this weekend.
"We try to have a lot of entry points for people who may be interested in a lot of different things that connect to things we've got on display at the museum," Adam Bennett with the Blanton Museum said.
The exhibit runs through Jan. 5. The special showing and German beer tasting will be Saturday from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Blanton Museum. Click here for more information.
