Central Texans woke up to more rain and slippery roads for Wednesday morning’s commute.
After about one foot of rain dumped over the area on Sunday, but today’s rainfall will not be as severe. The flash flood watch for the counties in our viewing area has been canceled.
Light to moderate rainfall is expected to grace Austin and surrounding areas through the morning, and could linger into the afternoon and evening hours.
The morning rain also brought the first fresh feel of fall—temperatures are not expected to drop out of the 50s all day. Things should warm up to the 70s, however, by late Thursday.
