Zombies and ghouls mobbed the Pflugerville H-E-B parking lot on Saturday to dance for their health.
The event was part of the Healthy Community Challenge -- a partnership between H-E-B, the city of Pflugerville and Lonestar Dance Company.
Kids and adults of all ages dressed up in their Halloween best and joined a huge dance party to the Michael Jackson song "Thriller."
“Thriller is something that draws people in. They love dressing up like zombies, they love Michael Jackson,” said Sarahbeth Balon of the Lonestar Dance Studio.
She said the dance was a fun opportunity to get the community up and moving.
“We kind of are just using it as a community event to get everybody moving,” she said. “We feel like physical fitness is really key, especially with youth now.”
Organizers say they want to have even more people involved in the event next year.
