Some advertising firms still practice methods that were effective decades ago -- the tried and believed-to-be true.
But, Gay Gaddis, founder and CEO of T3, has made a career of helping advertising keep pace with evolving technology and consumer habits.
About 25 years ago she cashed in her Roth IRA and used $16,000 to start her own firm. It’s now the largest advertising firm in the country solely owned by a woman.
Those precious startup dollars went to opening an office and hiring an attorney to incorporate the business. She also bought an electric typewriter.
She now employs around 200 people, including creatives and technical talent.
