It's a date that fans across the nation have circled on their calendars. October 26, 2010 is the final time Texas will play Nebraska in Big 12 Conference play.

"It is such a big game for us, and I'm sure down the road it's going to be an even bigger game for us if we do our jobs and win every single game it's going to be a big game, no matter what," said Huskers defensive lineman Jared Crick.

The Cornhuskers have already been touting the big match-up. Earlier this summer, a school sponsored video that like most videos ended up on YouTube targeted Texas as the big team to beat. Since then, the video has been changed.

"Somebody put Beat Texas on there, made it look like we were targeting Texas, but that wasn't the intent. Initially I was a little upset about it, but like anybody else I make mistakes too. What I was concerned about was the message it would send to our football team, because the last thing I want to do is have our football team looking forward to playing Texas," said head coach Bo Pelini.

According to the Nebraska players, that's not going to be a problem.

"As a player we don't pay much attention to that. They keep telling me about this video which honestly I haven't seen yet. I plan on watching it after this, because it must be that interesting," said wide receiver Niles Paul.

Video or no video, this year's match-up will go down in history because it's the last of it's kind. Nebraska has been on the losing end of this rivalry since 1999, but it's the latest loss to Texas in the Big 12 Championship that gives the players motivation.

"We're looking at it as fuel going into next season. We're not looking at the negative, ah we were this close and whining about it. We're going at it with a positive attitude, that, we're using this as momentum," said Crick.

"Hopefully it will make our kids work that much harder. But also have an understanding that we are that close. That should excite them and keep them hungry and give us an opportunity to hopefully kick the door in and win one," said Pelini.

And whether that one happens to be the last one will be determined in mid-October.
