"That feeling that you have, it's game day, you've arrived. It's time to play. It's kind of surreal," said Longhorns linebacker Keenan Robinson.

In a stadium filled with over 90-thousand fans, the players say the best part are those first moments when they step onto the field.

"Just running out of the tunnel, with all the smoke and everybody going crazy," said running back Tre Newton.

"Coming out of the tunnel is always always amazing," said defensive end Sam Acho.

"It's going to be special. As it gets closer to, I think it will be pretty cool just getting to run out of the tunnel knowing its my first game being able to play there to go out and start the game. It will still be pretty cool," said Longhorns quarterback Garrett Gilbert.

Eighteen freshmen played in Saturday's game against Rice. It's a young team, and their first game at home may feel like another season opener. Coach Brown made it clear to the team, that the word freshmen is no longer in their vocabulary.

"We told all freshmen you are now Varsity. We are not talking about freshmen any more. All of you have played in a game now that will probably continue to play. Let's quit talking about the young thing. You're either a good player or you're not. Youth's not an excuse," said Mack Brown.
