Southwestern University has a rich football history. You just have to go back to 1951 to find it. Since then the Pirates have not fielded a football team. Now more than 60 years later, college ball is on its way back to Georgetown.

The Pirates introduced their new head football coach Joe Austin on Thursday. He'll be responsible for building the program from the ground up to begin play in 2013.

Austin has spent the past four-seasons at Hanover College in Indiana and says he looks forward to the enormous challenge of starting-up a football program.
