Whether it was thanks to his struggles as a true freshman or the never-ending battle he waged with Case McCoy for the starting quarterback job, David Ash was a permanent topic of conversation for Longhorns fans in 2011.
The now sophomore to-be took time Saturday to help-out at Jordan Shipley's Football Camp in Austin. Ash plays with Jordan's brother Jaxon, a wide receiver also headed into his second year on the Forty Acres.
Thanks to injury and defection, Ash took on a much bigger role than anyone ever anticipated last year. He went from assumed redshirt to public enemy number one.
The Belton-native says he learned from it all and expects to build on it this fall.
