Thursday was supposed to be a night J'Covan Brown would never forget. For a kid who's endured so much, what better than to hear your name called at the NBA Draft.

But 60 players were taken, and none of them had the initials JB. The Longhorns guard who elected to leave school a year early, undrafted. But not unwanted. Brown has agreed to play with the Miami Heat on its summer league team, his agent confirmed to YNN Sports.

The just-crowned NBA Champs' summer league squad begins play in Las Vegas on July 15th. The 22-year-old led the Big 12 in scoring last season at just more than 20 points per game.
