It's amazing how quickly a perceived weakness can become a strength.

A couple of years ago, the running back cupboard at the University of Texas was essentially empty, but heading into this season it's overflowing. The Longhorns have three potential starting running backs. Malcolm Brown and Joe Bergeron both started games as freshmen in 2011 and true freshman Johnathan Gray was the #1 high school running back in the country.

That doesn't even count change of pace backs like DJ Monroe and Daje Johnson, or senior Jeremy Hills who carried the ball 36 times a year ago. There's no such thing as too much of a good thing, but spreading the carries around will be a challenge.
