There's much more going on at a high school football game than just football.

McNeil High School Senior Katrina Armstrong juggles several game day responsibilities. She is part of the choral choir, show choir, marching band and yearbook.

In describing football nights, Armstrong says, "I sing for choir starting out, and then right afterward I change into clothes I can run around in to shoot the game. After the second quarter, I run inside and change into my marching band uniform and play synthesizer for the band. Right after that, I run and change back into clothes I can run around in and finish photographing the game in. Then I ride back with the marching band to put away my equipment."

Armstrong said she finds all of her tasks tiring but rewarding.

"I love it because I like the accomplishment of being able to say I did it. Sometimes, for band, it's miserable because I have to get up at 5 a.m. Choir is a lot of rehearsal and sore throats. Yearbook is a lot of work and stress, but when it is all done I like to look at it and say yeah, I helped with that,” she said.

Armstrong has been shooting games for three years. She says she's the luckiest photographer out there because she's never been hit.
