Nate Boyer is, without question, a true hero.

The 31-year-old Longhorns sophomore earned a Bronze Star for his service in the Army, which included at least one tour in Iraq.

The guy teammates have affectionately nicknamed "Old Man" and "Grandpa" played for the first time last week, snapping on all of the Horns extra points and field goals.

This week, it's not just Ole Miss that's on Boyer's mind -- 9/11, a day that greatly shaped him, is as well.
