Friday's edition of Your Sports Now, starts off with a look at Day Five of Longhorn Camp. Joaquin Sanchez take us through the 'Horns Running Backs, Joe Bergeron, Jonathan Gray and Malcolm Brown, who are all well aware they're going to have to share the spotlight this season, and they say they're fine with that.
"You definitely need fresh legs in there, and with a stable of running backs that's excellent and perfect, because you can roll, one person gets tired, next person can roll, when they get tired the first person is ready to go," Joe Bergeron said about the talented group.
David Ash is looking forward to making use of the backs, along with his other up-tempo tools this season. He told Ricky Doyle all about it at Big 12 Media Days, and about his new confidence in taking control of the UT reigns.
"After you have some success, and taking some hits and getting a little dirty, and all that kind of stuff, you earn some respect over time, and when you get that respect, then you speak and then people listen," said Ash regarding his newfound swagger.
Mike Berman skipped out on sports Friday to pig out with the reigning National Champions. The Longhorns Volleyball team joined Coach Jerritt Elliott at his new home for some Rudy's and fun before getting down to business working toward another title in 2013.
Beyond that, we give you a look at the Round Rock Express, unfortunately extending their losing streak to ten games, along with a preview of the LBJ Jaguars and their new coach, former Manor Offensive Coordinator Andrew Jackson.
