Austin Aztex forward Jamie Watson stands out for a several reasons.
He's among the league leaders in most offensive categories and a role model to some in the Aztex locker room.
"He's a coach’s dream in the fact that he always give you ammunition to slap everybody down," Aztex head coach Adrian Heath said.
Watson is native Texan who first joined the Aztex in 2008, making him one of the longest standing players on the roster.
"I take a lot of pride in this club doing well, and that shows when we get into the games because I don't want to lose. I hate losing first of all first and foremost," said Watson.
His teammates, however, seem to recognize Watson most for his pointed style, which earned a couple of nicknames.
One comes from a French comic strip character with a signature haircut.
"One of the guys said it and put it up on Facebook and put a picture of me next to the character Tintin and got a lot of comments and likes and I didn't really particularly like it but it fits and now I can't shake it from all the guys," Watson said.
It's been easier for Watson to shake defenders, scoring five goals in the first 12 games of the season.
He prides himself on gritty toughness and pretty scoring, but by name he's still "Tintin" to most of teammates.
"I normally go by that or most handsome guy on the team," Watson said.
Style, he believes, stands out on the field and off.
