Brian Vera, one of the world's best boxers, trains and resides right here in Central Texas.
Vera went to Westwood High School and continued to Temple College to play baseball, but shoulder surgery stopped his career on the diamond.
Fortunately though, he was able to translate his skills into a new sport and was able to excel at boxing.
