Runners fast and slow are encouraged to take part in this weekend's 8th annual Keep Austin Weird 5K.
The race is advertised as the "Slowest 5K You'll Ever Run" and is a unique Austin event that encourages runners to bring out their more creative side. Costumes are encouraged and the best will receive prizes.
The 5K is part of the Keep Austin Weird Festival, which includes live music and local vendors before and after the race. The race begins on the north end of the South First Street Bridge.
Michelle Graham and Ed Kargbo join Ricky Doyle on Carrozza's Corner with more information on the race.
