McNeil high school has a rich history of hoops. It was home to sharpshooter A.J. Abrams, who went on to play for UT. But even during his time there, the Mavs never accomplished what this year's team is doing.
McNeil lost its first game of the season to Anderson, but has won 25 straight since, surpassing the old school record of 21 in-a-row. Most importantly, the Mavs are 5-0 in district play and this senior-heavy team is getting state-wide attention as they keep rolling.
