While the University of Texas has continued to expand DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium to more than 100,000 seats, the Texas State Bobcats have been quietly assembling an impressive stable of facilities themselves.
Over the past couple years, Texas State has redone the West side of Bobcat Stadium, adding
luxury suites.
Future expansion plans for the stadium include removing the track and bringing the seats closer to the field.
Brand new field turf is ready to go for this football season.
Two seasons ago the Cats baseball and softball programs moved into new facilities and a new track is being built.
It's all part of Texas State's goal to set the standard for the Southland Conference.
