The Texas Longhorns undoubtedly didn't find this year's Thanksgiving date with TCU too appetizing after sputtering in a loss. Apparently the Horns were not the only ones who didn't enjoy the meal. A Texas lawmaker has filed a bill that would require the Longhorns and Aggies to play every year.
The teams did not meet in 2012 after the Aggies move to the SEC. Representative Ryan Guillen, an A&M grad, filed House Bill 778 requiring the schools to play every year, or else face a loss of scholarships. Guillen says the purpose of this bill is to put the 'eyes of Texas upon' our two greatest state universities to restore this sacred Texas tradition.
