Both sides in the Colton Pitonyak trial have agreed to a jury questionnaire.

Pitonyak is accused of murdering 21-year-old Jennifer Cave in a West Campus area apartment in August 2005.

Next month, the 88 potential jurors will be asked to fill out a 20-question survey.

Due to the high publicity surrounding the case, the number of potential jurors is twice that of a regular trial. Eventually, 12 will be selected.

Also on Friday, the defense asked for phone records of the APD officer who first entered Pitonyak's apartment. They want to know who he was communicating with prior to going inside.

This move indicates that the defense will continue to attack the admissibility of the evidence and the constitutionality of the search.

That evidence includes the entire crime scene, including the apartment where Cave's mutilated body was found.
