Council approves legal advice fees for Wal-Mart conflict
In December 2006, the Austin City Council hired the law firm Scott, Douglas and McConnico to advise them about the redevelopment of Northcross Mall.
Since then, all of the controversy surrounding the mall has caused the city to spend more on legal advice.
On Thursday the council voted to spend $175,000 in attorney fees concerning the planned redevelopment of the mall.
To date the City has spent a total of $224,000 for legal advice concerning the planned Super Wal-Mart.
