Underground steroid bust nets 120 arrests

WASHINGTON -- More than 120 people have been arrested -- including two in the Houston area -- in an international investigation of steroid labs.

The Drug Enforcement Administration says "Operation Raw Deal" was assisted by foreign governments in nine countries, including China.

Prosecutors say Kenneth Hebert and his common-law wife, Leticia Zamora, are accused of operating an underground steroid lab at their home in Pearland.

Hebert and Zamora, both 36, have been charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute anabolic steroids.

The complaint says items seized in a raid on the Pearland house were consistent with a steroid lab capable of making at least 50,000 tablets -- per hour.

The overall push led to the seizure of 56 labs in the U.S.
