Laura Hall – convicted in helping cover up a 2005 murder – is out on bail.

According to a message from the Travis County Sheriff's Department, Hall was released Wednesday.

The Texas Third Court of Appeals in Austin said Hall is entitled to a new trial since the prosecution suppressed evidence.

Hall helped Colton Pitonyak cover up the 2005 murder of Jennifer Cave.

She was initially sentenced to five years in prison for evidence tampering. Earlier this month, state parole officials denied a parole request from Hall.

Hall was released after posting a $150,000 bail.

Pitonyak is serving a 55-year sentence for Cave's murder.
