Zilker holiday lights scaled down but still fun
The Zilker Tree Holiday Festival is a scaled down version of the Trail of Lights, and Sunday was the first day guests were able to come in and enjoy it.

While it is a shortened version, kids and parents alike are still eager to enjoy the experience that's self-touted as "Austin's largest block party."
"I think it's really good, it's a little bit more convenient being a little bit closer to tree and stuff like that," participant Cristin Ray said. "We're enjoying it."
One of the new additions to the event is an outdoor auditorium.
The festival is free and runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. nightly through December 21.
