Art Night Austin kicks off Art Week Austin, which happens later in April. It's a chance to preview the art to be showcased throughout the week.

There are eight different venues offering art, music and food. Each venue features new exhibitions, and there is a 10 percent discount on all art purchases.

"It's great to collaborate with the Art Alliance," said Charles Mayes, chef at Cafe Josie. "It's a good organization. They really do a lot to showcase all of the arts in Austin, performing art, visual art, cool mirror art, music, everything. It's fun."

Cafe Josie is one of the many restaurants providing food at the event. They will be at Wally Workman's gallery.

The night finishes with a party at the historic Star Building.
