As part of the Austin Police Department’s "No Refusal" program, 24 people were arrested for Driving Under the Influence during the Fourth of July weekend.

The program involves Austin police officers targeting drunk drivers, and if those drivers refuse to give a breath test or have their blood drawn, a judge is on standby to issue a warrant that compels a blood test.

Ten blood search warrants were issued, but only one person was arrested after a mandatory blood draw.
