Cap Metro to limit tobacco use
The Capital Metro Board of Directors approved a measure Monday to crack down on smoking in transit areas.
Starting Sept. 1, Cap Metro will no longer allow smoking or the use of tobacco products on MetroRail platforms.
The board also decided to limit smoking at its "Park & Ride" stops.
Starting in 2011, tobacco use will also be banned in boarding zones at its 3,000 bus stops around the city.
