The campus would be located just south of downtown on State Highway 123.

ACC said it will purchase 21 acres, and the seller, Cottonwood Creek JDR, LTD, will donate another 51 acres.

In November, voters San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District will decide whether to approve annexation and join the taxing district. Those property taxes would pay for the new campus.

ACC's master plan also includes a piece of land in Hays County and Bastrop and Elgin school districts.

Residents in those areas will also cast their votes come November.
